Life is difficult sometimes
When we experience difficult situations or there's a gap between what we want and what we have, all of us feel discomfort or pain.
It’s not a sign that there’s something wrong with you, it’s a part of being human and having a heart, it’s something that you share with every other person in the world (myself included!).
That’s where therapy comes in.
Therapy can
help
In therapy, we work together as a team, to understand if any of your current patterns are keeping you stuck.
Then we learn and practice some new skills to help you respond in ways that move you forwards, and break free of those patterns that are keeping you stuck.
We explore your values, what is truly important and meaningful to you, and help you to take actions to move towards the type of life you want to live, and the type of person you want to be.

Here is how

Understanding The Problem
It's normal to get hooked by our thoughts and feelings at times. But sometimes our thoughts and feelings influence our behaviours in ways that get us stuck in loops that make us feel even worse.
Together, we look at these patterns and understand how they are making things worse and what we could try instead to break those patterns.

Learning New Ways To Respond
Our minds can do amazing things, but sometimes they can also bully, criticise, judge and insult us. It's like our mind knows exactly the right buttons to push to jerk us around.
Together, we learn and practice some new skills to unhook, drop the struggle, and respond differently to our thoughts and feelings so that they are no longer in control.

Taking Action Towards What Matters
Our values are the things that bring meaning, richness, connection and joy to what we do each and every day. Our personal values are like a compass that guides our actions; how we want to treat ourselves, others and the world, when life is difficult.
Together, we will explore your core values and discover ways to live more in line with those values every day.
